STPI plans to have 25 centres of excellence in emerging technologies

The government is planning to support 1500 startups through these CoEs and has created a budget of Rs 400 crore, said Omkar Rai, Director General, STPI, at the CII Innovation Summit. He added that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is working to create a technology startup ecosystem to promote the development of software products in the country.
